Beautiful vintage Buren Grand Prix Super Slender with the beautiful Micro-Rotor automatic movement. This Swiss men's wristwatch from the early 60s has an automatic movement with a very small rotor. A great invention that allowed automatic watches to be a lot flatter at the time. Equipped with a completely stainless steel case with beautifully shaped lugs. The lug-to-lug size is 42 mm and the diameter is almost 35 mm. Because of the size and the spherical dial, it is quite a large watch to wear. The silver-grey Sunburst dial has developed a beautiful patina in the past 55 years. The graceful hour indices are overlaid and those at 12, 6 and 9 o'clock are facet cut! The Buren logo is also overlaid and beautifully detailed. The hands are so-called Dauphine hands which give the watch even more charisma. The Buren 1009 30-jewel Micro Rotor movement keeps time well and winds well both through the crown and by means of wrist movement. The quickset also works well and the date neatly jumps over.
