"Mala" prayer necklace composed of a central tooled howlite turquoise pendant and two 3-eye dzis.
Bought during my travels in Asia.
The "mala" accompanies the practising Buddhist during his/her prayers and it is used to count the mantras' recitation.
In Buddhism, the "mala" is held in the left hand; the beads are pushed to the right hand using the thumb and index finger. This gesture symbolises the act of human beings getting rid of suffering and charging their body with positive energy.
Length: approx. 46 cm (extension included).
Extension with tooled howlite turquoise: length = 5.7 cm.
Size of the howlite turquoise: 4.7*3.3 cm.
Weight: 64 g
Three-eyed Dzi: In Buddhism, the bead symbolises the God of Wealth 'Yellow Dzambala' (Kubera), symbol of all types of prosperity in all worlds. It is one of the most powerful beads to attract financial wealth. Another meaning is the harmony of body, mind and heart.
