René Frugier - Limoges - Set pentru servit ceaiul de 12 - Porțelan
Franța - 1930/1950

This service is made of aluminite, a very high-temperature porcelain by René Frugier, an engineer who set up his factory in 1896 (bought by Haviland in 1958). He is the creator of aluminite, a fire porcelain richer in clay material than classic porcelain, and fired at a slightly higher temperature. As a result, aluminite is far superior to previously existing ceramics of the same kind and is resistant to temperature differences of more than 300°. The glaze itself is designed so that its expansion follows that of the paste. It covers the totality of the objects.
